Salsa Dance DVD: Dance Lesson Videos

Are you taking dance lessons before the big day?

If so, how many do you think an average couple would need? Our wedding is 2 months away, I'm trying to figure out how to schedule dance lessons with our hectic schedule and actually learn something from them, at the same time.

Thanks!

Yes we are going to have 8 weeks of dancing, however im sure 6 would be fine!
So many positives,
1. Its fun
2. Its great exercise
3. You will be able to impress with a fun dance
4. It will be a time you will both never forget!

its only an hour a week, you should definately go for it!

Not sure if you know where to go? We have contacted a local dance school and they gave us a few numbers!

Ohhh so much fun!

Congrats and good luck

I think this is a great idea!

As for how many you will need will depend on the instructor as well as how long the classes are. If they are an hour you may want to take 3-4 classes to learn a few different dances. If the classes are 2 hours than you may only need 2 classes. Are you both fast learners? There's a few factors to consider.

I'd start with finding what song you're going to dance to (For the first dance). From there, you can decide what kind of dancing you will be partaking in. You have your slow dances including foxtrot, waltz, jazzy foxtrot, rumba, salsa ect. You should expect to pay $25 to $80 per hour for a private lesson and $12 to $30 each for a group class. If you intend to attend these sessions alone, the cost may reduce by half. Hope this helps and CONGRATS

Yes we are! I have two left feet and my fiance and I decided that learning how to dance properly would not only be nice for the wedding but will benefit us for events in the future. We are taking classes at our local college. The first option is a Basic Ballroom dance class, where you learn the basics to a bunch of steps like foxtrot, waltz, jitterbug, etc. After you get the basics you can always add on to it or speak to the instructor about working together to add some flair to your specific dance. We are paying $120 for 6, 60 minute classes of Basic Ballroom and have arranged to have our instructor work with us afterward for our specific dance for $75 for an hour long session, as many times as we want/need to. Our instructor told us that most people can puick up the basics with just the Basic Ballroom class. It's a worthwhile investment, just check around for good prices, I found there was a large range of instruction and price!

    Good luck!

You know what, we're not engaged, but I think I might force him through some dance lessons! That would be really neat and fun! And something for the two of us to do together, just us! I think if you have maybe two lessons a week you could get a dance down really well!

And thanks for the idea! I appreciate it!
