You can slightly …
You can slightly move out of the slot. In fact, I think it looks better that way. The way I was taught, I would still face my partner when I lead her through a Copa. You can do either or. But like I said…I think moving slightly out of the slot gives a better presentation of the move.

I’m having difficulty understanding the Copa move. I know its an open break, but when you do the openbreak for the copa, do you need to move from the lady’s slot just like the cross body lead? Please respond.
